  1. asher:
Sighhh, adore him. Truly. A major character (vampire) in the second half of the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K Hamilton - he's strong, pained, wounded, and deeply in love with the Master of the City, the vampire Jean Claude. They've loved, hated, mourned, and loved again for over a hundred years. It's amazing to read him - it's the depth of his story, and the fact that he's so clearly a strongly written bi-sexual love interest for a lead male character in a best selling series of books is fabulous! I always want more and more of him in the books, esp. if it's with Jean Claude...sighhhh. I wish there was more slash fan fiction out there that featured this character. ((Side note, I named one of my mother's parakeets after Asher! Asher has hair the color of gold, and the bird has feathers covering its head of the same shade...lol.)))
  2. brian/michael:
Two of my boyz...lol. I find them beautiful. Their history, their connection and the fact that they always have and always will love each other - to the exclusion of so many others in their lives - past, present and future. And basically, I have great fun writing them having sex...lol.
  3. from eroica with love:
What's not to like? lol You've got the deeply repressed German Major who spies for NATO, and the man who loves him...lol - sometimes to his physical detriment - Dorian Red Gloria, an Earl who moonlights as a master thief, Eroica. The series is fun, the artwork - official and by fans - is amazing. And I find myself returning again and again to read the fanfiction that's out there on the web. I adore the story, I root for Dorian to get his man...lol, and I am an Art Historian - so reading about an art thief who feels he's entitled to possess all things of beauty he desires = it's a blast. I was even compelled to dip my toes in the water recently, and wrote a slash fiction story for them myself.
  4. highlander:
Total fun! Feeds my historian roots...lol. Beautiful men, fantastical adventures and a show that is TOOOOOOO SLASHABLE for reason!!! Love the show, love the fan artwork and the fiction! THUD... Hell, the character of Methos is so compelling - what couldn't you do with a man who's over 5,000 years old??? (That wasn't meant as a pun...!!!) I even named my dog after him...lol.
  5. jim ellison:
One of the two MOST slashed characters probably in SLASH HISTORY...lol. Pair him with Blair Sandburg and you will be captivated for hours, story after story - always a fandom that I return to, again and again. What's not to love about a touchy-feely butch buff cop with heightened senses who's lived with his "guide" - for what? Over three years? lol.... They are so doing the wild thing... hehe.
  6. lucius vorenus:
New character from HBO's Series, "Rome" - he's rather intriguing to watch as he struggles with his moral codes in the wake of the Republic's civil war and internal battles. He's a man who loves his wife, and in a time when it's was NOT something a man did as a rule - he's remained faithful to her for over 8 years while off in battle. He's a man of character, who's been hardened by war - but has a heart that's just as strong as his sword arm...lol. (Lord, I'm getting poetic again - STOP ME!) However, this being said - I still want him to get it on with Pullo!!! Slashable as the day is long!!!
  7. mulder/skinner:
Wow - just, wow!!! My first slash pairing obession. I will always follow stories written about them together. That has a LOT to do with the talents of Xanthe and many other X-Files writers (too many to name) - but it's just amazing the wealth of great and HOT stories out there that you can find about Mulder and his boss...lol. Makes me want to start re-reading some of my favorites - for like the thousandth time...lol. (Ohhhh, and for those of you interested - I have actually just finished my first zine slash story!!! For Mulder/Skinner... Hopefully, the zine will be published come the new year - but more on that later. And YES, there is SEX involved!)
  8. queer as folk uk:
Just, amazing - totally and completely a favorite for all time. I stumbled across it by accident one day as I was looking for some fics online - this was just after the first 8 episodes had aired in the UK. I joined as many lists as I could, searched down every story I could find and desperately awaited my bootleg copies of the show as the second series aired in the uk. These characters feel like family now. And I will forever be grateful to Russell T Davies, Aidan Gillen, Craig Kelly and the rest of the cast for becoming a part of my world.
  9. russell t davies:
The man is FUCKING BRILLIANT!!! He's the top, the absolute top. Not only did he gift us with "Queer As Folk" - but I've enjoyed everything he's written that I've seen since. He's a hoot to listen to, and the best part of all - he's a fan! A fan of Doctor Who, that not only incorporated mentions of the show into his own series (making Vince a Whovian Anorak...snicker, fantastic) - but he's taken the dream we all have of writing and telling stories about our favorite shows/characters - and he's run a complete touchdown with it! He reinvented Doctor Who for the latest generation - and did a DAMN good job too - and gave us our luvly bi-sexual Captain Jack Harkness to boot!!! Who now will have his own show!!! I think Russell is fucking gay royalty...lol. (That last line sounds like a joke just WAITING to happen...hehe.)
  10. stuart and vince:
I don't know if I have the words...lol. (Don't snicker!) Truly, I've watched, loved and written these two characters for over six years or more. And I have NEVER tried of them. I don't believe I ever will. They are the ultimate inspiration, for which I've written story after story. I truly can't express how much I recommend folks give these two a try - the fiction is amazing, the show is a dream and the fanbase is some of the most loyal and enthusiastic bunch you'll ever meet. Stuart and Vince have given me more than I can tell.

Asher
Were you as disappointed as I was that he had barely a mention in Incubus Dreams? He's definately my fav vamp. Him and Damien. Nathanial is my fav were. And I ALWAYS want more of them. The title of the next one makes it sound like its going to be all about one character. But then when you read that excerpt - it kind of hints at other things. ;)

From Eroica With Love
I have to admit, I'm not familiar with this. But I have read a couple of fics that you recc'd and loved them. I keep meaning to find out more, but... I have no excuse - I'm simply absent minded. lol

Yes! I was disappointed at missing out on Asher in that book, but from reading Laurell's blog - we get lots more in the next book (good lord! 1045 pages)...lol.

And yes, From Eroica With Love is a great little fandom to discover!
