After several days of tweaking and re-tweaking - I'm saying DONE! :)

I've wanted to have my own webpage for ages. Years, really... And while I have been offered webspace in the past, I never found the user friendly creation tools with which to build the website itself. Looked and looked... And then I realized, I had what I needed already...lol.

I've been using Google's Picasa for my Aidan Gillen/Craig Kelly Photo Archive. Love the format, love Gmail too! Sooo easy to use, the both of them. So one day I took a closer look at the "more" that you can find when looking through what Google offers for free. And came across Google Sites. Create your own webpages, use their templates or customize your own - and edit your webpages as easily as you would a Word document. Insert pictures, web links - everything you could want - with just a click or two. I'm enjoying it very much. :)

Okay fellow slash fic writers - I am in FULL PIMP MODE!!! :)

What am I trying to sell you? lol... I wanted to beg, plead and grovel for your permission to become part of the new crack for the slash reading public at large!

There's a new livejournal that just opened which features the works of fanfic writers by hosting their stories - converted into ebooks! Specifically for Kindle ebook readers - or for anyone who uses the free mobi-pocket reader program.

Now here's the BIG QUESTION! Would you please please please consider giving your permission to share your stories at kindle_fanfic ???

The reason being that I ADOREEEEEEEEEEE my Kindle, and having more slash fics from my favorite fandoms on my Kindle would ROCK! I'm very sure others would be happy to have them available to re-read again and again, whether they are online or not.

Pretty please? Come on - you know it would be fabulous to see your work all in one place!

I've given permission for my own stories to be featured there - and will be posting a link to my "author" post tonight. Crossing fingers maybe this might interest you?

The archivist will gladly convert the files - full credit to you as always! - create an author page for your fic and will host all of your Kindle/Mobi readable stories on her own website for download by members of the new livejournal.

You get a larger new audience for your work, and you get to add to the ever growing list of fandoms being featured! Come on... It's win, win!

So I threw my admittedly out of practice butt into the Yuletide ring this year. Ended up posting one fic, and one treat. It was the first gen and het I've written in - well, practically ever.

The first in a fandom I've not touched in over a decade - "La Femme Nikita" - and the second being brand new to me as a writer - "Secretary" - a movie I adore! :)

It seems that my orginal character Declan Rai will be getting back to his half Russian roots. lol... In a sense.

I came home to a lovely bit of feedback for my two stories, "Encompassed" and "Embraced" - from a Russian fan of QAF and Brian/Michael.

With the added surprise that she's offered to translate the stories into Russian so they can be shared with like-minded fans of the show and the themes presented in the fics.

I went to London a few years back - much to my joy, and I used a lot of the places I saw in the fic, but there are just as many places the boys went, that I didn't! For those, I researched my little heart out so it would read just as well as the ones I'd seen myself.
