I got a bit of feedback in my inbox today that helped me remember this story hadn't been posted here. I hadn't realized it had been over a year since the "Beacon of Light" Zine was released in Dec 2005. I believe the reserve time is a year, so I am free to post it here for those who may have missed it then.

Well, as sooooooooome of you may remember - my net handle is "Fox" spelled backwards, as in Fox Mulder from the X-Files. My first and longgggest slash pairing/fandom is the X-Files = Mulder/Skinner.

The very first slash fic I wrote was M/Sk - but it bit the big one when my disk was corrupted - ohh, eleven years or more ago. And I never had the heart to redo it. Of course, by then - I was off to LFN Slash, and then QAF (UK, US), then From Eroica With Love and OMCs in "Encompassed." But I never forgot my first slash pairing luv. And have always been on the look out for more and more stories featuring Fox and his Boss...lol. Which unfortunately have become few and far between, damn it!!!

Wellllll.... Then came the news that there was going to be a NEW ZINE!!!! Just for Mulder/Skinner fics!! I was jumping for joy, and figured - ok, I want to be involved. Somehow... (I'd tried to be in a zine before, writing my "From Eroica With Love" story, "Dorian In the Dark," - but the deadline got pushed up majorly (snicker, sorry - that was an "in" pun/joke) - and I didn't get to be in the zine. Poutttt....

But I got on the ball, despite a muse on strike, and wrote my first X-Files Fic!!! And yes, it's NC-17 (how could it not be coming from me???) I couldn't take over ten years of reading X-File Fics and then do my own fic, only to NOT have them have explicit hot sex, could I???

Annnnnyway - The X-File Zine is now AVAILABLE!!! Many many thanks to Jo B, who originated the zine idea and who truly put together a fantastic finished project!!! (Trust me, I just got my printed copy today and it is STUNNING - the artwork, paper quality and stories - all are a must have!!!)

Oh, my story is first! Only because I turned it in early - but hey, that means SEX!!! right off the bat, so yeyyyyy! lol... It's called, "The Necessity Of Now."

Each author's email addie it provided, so I strongly encourage you to do two things - 1) If you like a story, pretty please let the writer know!!! 2) Let Jo B know what you think of the zine!!! It might be JUST the thing to get more stories/zines in future (A Win-Win For All...)

(((Multiple hugs to Alexis and Xanthe for betaing my fic - it's the FIRST ONE in the zine!!! Eeekk....lol. Let there be hot sex right off the bat, as it were. hehe)))

4) AWWWWW!!! Yuletide 2005 is open!!! Hundreds and hundreds of fics for any and all to read!!! Lawd, but that's a luvly luvly site/sight.

Listen up, folks!!! lol...

If you have been living under a rock (hugs, teasing...) - you might not have heard that there will be a NEW zine called "Beacon In The Night" for our luvly favorite FBI agent and his burly boss!!!

They are taking admissions for another month!!! Fics, poems, artwork - ANYTHING that you might like to try. (Yep, that's right - I'm pimping the zine in the hopes that some of you luvly folks might lend us your muses and create some HOTTTT ... uhmm, hmmm ... I mean creative ...lol, fics!!!!

I have written my first Mulder/Skinner fic for the zine!!! So if any of you are fans of my work, that's incentive to get involved, yes??? Yes!!!
