Okay - so vid #6 is an odd puppy...lol.!!! But given the movie I was working with....

Aidan Gillen went almost directly from playing Stuart Alan Jones in the UK QAF, to playing, well - someone sooooooo incredibly left-field he's almost unrecognizable. Which goes to show how incredibly talented the man is, folks.

And so I give you a look at Aidan Gillen in the movie "Buddy Boy" -

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Title: "Bad Moon Rising"
Song: Rasputina
Vidder: Xof
Focus: Francis from "Buddy Boy"
Star: Aidan Gillen, baby!!!
Rating: PG
Format: .wmv
Length: 3:43 mins
File Size: 21.2 MB

Theme: How's a man to know if he's losing his mind? What if it isn't just in his head, but it's everyone around him that's mad? Francis - a shy, reclusive - uhm, kinda momma's boy...lol (that's an in-joke) who's drowning in the darkness of his own life, and the lies that surround all those he knows. That is when he's not playing peeping tom on the neighbors...lol.

Editor's Note: Probably Aidan's oddest movie to date - and that's saying something! He studders, quints, chews his lip and wades through one dark sequence after another - in a film where you have no idea what's happening, and the writer/director likes it that way! Is his girlfriend an innocent vegan who loves him? Or is she a murdering cannibal who's - literally - after his head? Is a patron of the local film store a pedophile? And then there's the question of the two bodies in the bathtub...snicker. It's a true experience, but one that showcases Aidan in almost every frame.

Dedicated to Margo. I know, I know - it's a friggin' odd choice...lol - but I figured it would be a timely thank you.

Here's hoping you like the video - or at least the subject...lol. I quite enjoyed the song, btw - it's a cover of the original "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Rasputina's version is almost a completely new song - eerie and dark, just like the film. If you have a chance, drop me a line and let me know what you think? It's much appreciated in advance.

Wow!

Okay, lady, *this* is your best one! It literally floored me! Good use of cutting in the *eye* appropriately, and perfect choice of music - both lyrics and the sinister feel to the rhythm. And damn, yes, but the man is talented ... Margo

then i realized, that all 3 characters were cunning bad asses, well ok the one in circle of friends wasn't exactly a bad ass, but he knew how to get what he wanted :)
so i used take me out by franz ferdinand, hope ya like it

Re: post of vid above

I think it's a good beginning. There two things really - one the vid as is doesn't work with the song. I would suggest you stick with the true bad guys - Carver Doone & Lord Rathbone, if you want to keep that song. The Circle of Friends clips don't fit with the others, and maybe that's what's throwing the song vs. clips out of sync.

Two - the scenes need more clipping together. The beginning has lots of interspersed scenes between carver and rathbone, but as the vid continues (after the flashes) - the scenes are left to run longer without being interweaved together. This is fine when you are only dealing with one movie, one character - and you have a consistent story to build on. But when you're putting two unrelated time periods/characters/movies together with a fast pace song - the rapid clipping seems to fit better.

Btw - I adored the flashes. Aidan looking all pretty. You're doing well. Just give the things mentioned above a thought? Hugggs

Except for the synthesizer in the background of Rasputina's cover I thought the vid and song were a perfect match. You did an excellent job of pairing the movie clips with the song. Good switching from scene to scene - pretty flawless in fact. :) And Aidan does show quite a different range of emotions/physical mannerisms in this movie which you showcased nicely in the vid. *claps*

omg...lol - heck, I'm just excited that someone else actually WATCHED this video...pout.

I kinda thought I'd worn out my vid welcome, or that the subject was too much even for aidan fans. eek....

Thank you for letting me know you liked it. I truly appreciated reading your feedback.
