LJ Tags - A Question

So I just sent the night tagging the past two and a half years worth of entries to my livejournal!!! Yeah me for finishing.

Now here's a question - are tags mostly for the lj owner? Or as a reader of the lj - can you search through another user's tag catagories? I mean, is there a list? Like when you click on a user's memories, etc? lol... I tagged my stuff because I wanted to, I guess. But it does seem like it would be easier for others to use them if they actually knew which tags I had available.

tags are just like memories so there is a page where all of them can be listed, cant believe you went back and tagged everything! I keep meaning to but then I forget what the tag name was and end up with a billion variations ;)

can you see my tags listed somewhere? i feel like a dunce...lol

i mean, i know if you look at a post, you can click on any tag listed at the bottom and see all the other related posts - but having a list of what tags are available would be nice...

I see you already figured out the whole tag thingy, so I just want to give you a 'congrats' for getting them all done! I try, and then can't make myself tag more then like, twenty or thirty at a time. :D
