The QAF Recap Decision...

First - I've had a crap day. Grrr... Had to fill in for someone who called in sick. Which meant I had to take over training a new girl all day. Also meant I discovered that after days on the job, the new girl had been taught NOTHING practically by the someone who called in sick. Damn it. So I had to redouble my efforts to help her understand what to do and how to do it.

The I get home and have a flare up argument with my mom. Sighhhh... It was over quick at least. And we'll be fine, usually are... It just sucks. I HATE fighting with her.

Anyway... To the news that some of you will find interesting.

The QAF recaps....

I enjoy the recaps. I would miss them if they were gone. I like having them to express my enjoyment of the show. I can fill them with a humor I have nowhere else to express. I would feel terrible not to have them back.

Plus it would make me feel bad/guilty/loser-esque to stop now, after three years of doing them.

Sooo... the decision.

I will be doing the Season 4 Recaps of QAF.

I hope that makes those of you who enjoy them, happy. And thank you for letting me know you wanted more. If any of you need a Xof Recap Fix before Sunday's Episode 401, remember that you can find them all at the ATP!!!

Just enter the site, and you'll see a link on the left side that says Xof's Recaps. There are almost 41,000 hits on the page counter. Which is fabulous, but of course - for those of you who read my LJ, you'll remember that it really should be almost 51,000...sigh. Had an archive software problem a few months back that erased over 10,000 hits from the counter. POUT!!!

As for the timing of the recap posts, I'll be giving myself till Friday (following the episode) to finish. This gives me a couple more nights if I need them. And if I finish before Friday, you'll have them to read all the quicker, yes? lol...

The main reason why I became drawn into the QAF fandom was due to your well-written, shipper-neutral recaps. I think the fact that you really love the series and the characters comes true v. strongly in your writing, and it's v. refreshing to have a less B/J-biased recap of the episodes. I'm extremely glad that you decided to continue your lovely recaps, which are a boone to all the overseas fans like me who are unable to watch the series easily. Thanks so much. ^_^

I sympathize with your crappy day (esp. at work). I just started a 3rd job (temp. job supposed to be for April and May) three weeks ago. Now I talked with my immediate 'superior' on Thursday to see if she had anything I needed to know about before I went to work there on Saturday (today) and she said all was well. *sigh* I come home from my 1st job Friday to find a message from 3rd job boss lady saying they're not going to need me any more and I had to drive into Plano today to the corporate office to fill out the tax/payroll paperwork which I've been trying to get since I was hired. To show you how disorganized the people at this job are...I didn't even get the job application/background forms until the 2nd week after I had already been working for them.

So because of all this runaround I won't get paid until the first of May and thus can't get digital cable and Showtime so I'm going to miss the season premiere of QAF for the first time ever *sob*

Hey xof that's great news :-) especially for those of us around the world who don't get to see the series until quite a bit later, you are our link to finding out what's going on, so its great to know you'll be continuing - but please don't put yourself under pressure, I'm sure we all understand how much hard work goes into each one of the episodes you do and that 'life' sometimes gets in the way! Its better that you still enjoy watching the show and producing the recaps rather than do it out of a sense of duty and it becomes a chore that ruins your pleasure in watching - so if you cut them shorter or take longer to do them that's fine, we can get by on that until we can see the eps for ourselves I'm sure:-)
