2) Alexis - our ever luvly UK QAF Archivist for the Across The Pond QAF Archive!!!! - has issued a challenge that I think is extremely intriguing!!!! For old guard members or newbies alike, if you've EVER put pen to paper (or fingers to keys...snicker) - then THIS is a fantastic opportunity!!!

Nowwwwwwwwwwwww..... Just think about it folks!!! A chance to be challenged, to maybe re-enter the fandom, visit with old friends, revisit your own works - and see MORE of those fics you soooooooooooo incredibly loved by other people!!!! Intrigued yet??? Ahhhhhhhhh, come on!! lollll....
Rules:
So, I bring you the sequel challenge! This is a challenge that requires you to go back and write a prequel or sequel to an existing story of yours! The catch -- someone else gets to pick the story!
Here are the general rules:
1. All people who enter the challenge will need to write a story as well as challenge another writer.
2. The sequel challenge will last 1.5 months.
3. You must challenge a writer with a finished story -- no WIP may be challenged.
4. The story may be before or after the original story, or even as more detail in the middle of one - an unexplained line of dialogue perhaps.
5. Everyone who enters will get a name. You will pick a story from that writer's body of work. The writer will get to pick what they do with it.
As the writer, you need to be willing to go back to one of your old stories and add to it -- which can be a challenge in itself.
I thought this would be a fun chance to give someone their 'wish' of a continued story from an author.
If you are interested, please e-mail me off list. I'll post the assignments within a week. These will consist of which writer you will be challenging. Once you have choosen a story, e-mail the writer within 48 hours to give them your challenge. From that point, the writer will have 1.5 months to complete.
Timeline:
Monday, March 15th - Challenge Issued
Monday, March 22nd - Assignments made.
Monday, May 3rd - Stories from Authors due.
Length:
1000 words (You may write more, of course!)
