They're very, very close. Thorne's a single man, without a partner or kids, and Phil's a gay guy who's out there, partying, doing what he has to do. There's an interesting dynamic as well between the two. Phil's more involved in the murky world of pathology, which he loves in a very strange way. It's a great team.
