Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five Weird Habits of Yourself" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their five queer habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and list their names.
1) I have to check certain bookmarks every time I sign into the computer. Which isn't that weird, it's just the sites that are...lol. But I get rather methodical about it, including the tabs that I leave open to "refresh" every few minutes or so - they are ALWAYS in the same order.
2) I drink Diet Dr Pepper, rather too much. But dang it, it's the best tasting diet drink available.
3) I used to answer the phone at work by saying "Good day, this is..." - which I know sounds like a bad Aussie joke - but was in fact a bad sign of how overworked and frantic I felt then, because I couldn't even stop to notice the time of day - morning or afternoon - so I figured saying Good Day covered all my bases.
4) I have basically mastered the art of holding conversations with dozens upon dozens of people at work without the clients knowing that I don't remember their names. It's not that they aren't important, or that I don't want to - but my memory is a rather selective thing. Seriously - I can tell an obscure actors voice from one listen of a tv commercial after not having seen them in anything for years - but I can't remember the names and faces of most of the people I went to high school with (it was a small town, which makes that even worse...lol.)
5) I have to set reminders on my work email for practically every little thing I do during the day. I've noticed a drastic change in my memory retention (see #3 and #4) - because I have worked in practically every station or "area" of the business. I have so much running around in my head - law, compliance, procedure, policy, etc - that I don't have much room for smaller things like time tables and deadlines. Hence my pop-up reminds are on constant POP, SNOOZE and RE-POP throughout the day.
(((All of the above seems either not wierd enough, or rather sad... eek, sorry.)))
So, I tag...
Hugs
