The first chapter of Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake book, "The Harlequin," is on her website HERE!!!

And, in case you don't read her blog, or get the email newsletter (Yes, I am a AB dork!) - then you should know that Laurell is writing a pre-quel comic to the Anita Blake series. Yea!! And it will hold such goodness as the first meeting of Anita and JC, and Anita and Edward. (I really don't think that's sooo spoilerish that I have to have a cut - you'd get more of that off the comic book website...)

Am enjoying! Though I'm not sure about the way they drew the faces of Anita and JC. If you've watched Kim Possible episodes with the Fearless Ferret, Ron's hero, you can see a similarity in the pointyness of the chins and something about the eyes. Aside from that I'm looking forward to reading more than just chapter one. It was nice of LKH to share ch.1 with the public.

Have you actually gotten the comic? Because I ordered it from Amazon and it was an estimated delivery date of Dec2006, and I have yet to see it. I emailed them to ask WTH, and they told me that its delayed. I can cancel my order if I find it elsewhere. I don't understand why they haven't gotten it yet. Odd.

Anyways, that new chapter looks good!!!

What other authors do you follow? I'm curious.

Thanks again. I can't wait until my copy arrives. I think its supposed to be the first story arc all in one. Not sure though.

I 'm impressed. The artwork is clean lines, and reminds me of the beginning of Witchblade. I love Anita's tshirt at the end of #4 when Ronnie's at the door. I want one. lol. I was a little surprised that they drew Edward to look so young. I always thought of him as a bit older than Anita. But YAY! for all the pretty boys. Even if some of them are evil with a capital E! lol
