Hello?!? Echoooo echo...lol. Feels like folks booked a ticket to anywhere-but-here-ville. LJ and Yahoo are soooo quiet. Anyway...
Vid #8 is done! (At 4:00 AM late Friday night, for goodness sake! WHY am I doing this to myself? lol... Sleep? Who needs sleep, when you're on a roll?)
As for being a fan of a British actor, there are levels of what is "obscure" and what is OBSCURE! As in, if you're living across the pond or anywhere other than the UK - it'll be fairly difficult to ever FIND, let alone enjoy some of that actor's work on film. Thankfully, with Aidan - we have a few "in's" in order to get a look-see! But for those who haven't seen him in much lately, I thought I'd give you a look at Aidan in one of his more recent UK film/tv roles!!!
Please enjoy this look at Aidan Gillen in the ITV movie "Walk Away & I Stumble" -

Title: "Erase-Rewind"
Song: The Cardigans
Vidder: Xof
Focus: Paul from "Walk Away & I Stumble"
Star: Aidan Gillen, baby!!!
Rating: PG
Format: .wmv
Length: 3:52 mins
File Size: 21.8 MB
Theme: A former lover returns to find the lady he loved and left, is now facing death. What's a man to do, but try his best to see her through her last days? Too bad she has other plans.
Editor's Note: Seriously difficult times getting this vid made...lol. What with faulty conversions, weeding out over two hours worth of extraneous footage (ie - non-Aidan...lol) and trying to find a song - this video was an experience, folks. Then there was the plot...AWWW!!! I'm going to give you a fair recap of what happens so you'll better understand the vid I made. If you would like to know the details:
Synopsis - Paul returns after a two year absence to find the woman he left (suddenly to live in Argentina) has recently started an affair with a married man (who has a wife and three kids...grr). Married man leaves his wife for the blonde lead, only for them all to find out the blonde has terminal brain cancer and will die in a matter of months. Married man gets back with his wife. Paul asks blondie to marry him, because he feels obligated to see her through her final days. She turns him down. Then she says yes. Then she leaves him at the alter...lol. The wife of the man she had an affair with picks her up, takes her to their house to care for her (charity? wtf? lol) - Paul follows and asks for the couple to give him back blondie. Much tension and talk of death...lol - husband being a bastard to Paul, etc. Paul leaves, very upset. Then later he arranges his own goodbye to blondie. And then leaves for good. The End. Very much a Life-time tv movie of the week kinda deal - nutsy soap opera-esque.
Song Choice - Was a b*tch! lol... How do you find a song that says (plot spoilers) - "We had some good times babe, and even though you're not the love of my life - I feel obligated to see you through to your death - so marry me." It was impossible! So I took a different tact, and made the song/vid about her changing opinions about Paul, their relationship and what happens when no becomes yes, becomes no, becomes goodbye. I thought the Cardigan song was fantastic when I discovered it last night; seems to work well.

And Aidan was simply delicious, as always, and you captured all the right looks at the right time of the lyrics. *sigh* and *sniffle* ... but it's a good sniffle, okay? - Margo

You're welcome for the vid! I have others for Aidan on my lj - but they are from his movies rather than uk-telly.

I hope you won't mind me posting my reply on your journal, instead of the UK Telly site. I'm sure that you will get to see Aidan on stage, some day. Until that time, I thought that I'd share some of the highlights from "The Caretaker." For such a sweet guy in real life, Aidan scared the hell out of me on stage, with his amazingly menacing performance!! Please click on the thumbnails for larger versions of the pics:

If you like to browse - I have a photo archive for Aidan Gillen and Craig Kelly. All of their roles I can get my hands on - tv, movies and plays.
You're welcome to join the list - there aren't really any posts, it's just to house the hundreds and hundreds of photos...lol.

Oh, I totally loved the hair. Plus, while he was still lean, he'd filled out just a little so that he didn't look quite as thin as when he was Stuart. It was a nice look.

ps. oh those curls, the black shirt and *drools* the tuxedo!

The curls are TOO fabulous. The tux was great, but could have done with a little more tailoring - take a look at him when he stops running after the bride and puts his hands up - it looks like it's way too big for him...lol.
