Oh dammit, Xof. You just left me hanging, and normally I'm fine with cliffhangers, but this? Argh!
Anyway, this was a wonderful update. As starmack said, I loved the way Brian was chasing after Michael for once. You did a wonderful job of conveying Michael's terror in allowing himself to get his hopes up for Brian again, and again, I just love your characterization of Michael. He's unsure of himself and a little cowardly because his heart's been stepped on so many times, and yet he never comes across as pathetic. Most authors can't achieve that balance.
And I love this line: "So he took the path that meant less struggle, less likelihood of loss. He decided to go with the question he felt, albeit ironically, safer finding the answer to.
I loved Brian's show of dominance at "Dominion", and I like your backstory of Brian's experience at "The Meat Hook". I've always suspected that Brian's been there and didn't quite like it from his behavior in the pilot when Justin lies about going there. And the fact that "Dominion" doesn't have enough space to do anything in their bathrooms other than what they're meant for is a nice touch. It separates it from Babylon in a very simple and yet significant way.

Waiting for the next part . . .
