Stepping back from the RR concert to August, 2000 - Gackt's "Starlight Gig".
Basically, it's an outdoor concert that's been cut together for television (?) it seems - about half an hour of footage. The version I saw was a rough rip, maybe from VHS? So the quality isn't fabulous, but it's still cap-able - :)
(Gackt's half naked for a good part of the show, so it's all good!)
You and Gackt focused, with a couple Cha Cha prezzies, too.

I'm glad I saw this, but I have to say - the sound quality is horrible. And I don't mean that it's from the file conversion. I mean whoever did the sound for the outdoor show needed to be handed their pink slip before the first number was done. Grrrr... Gackt's mic isn't up enough, GacktJOB's instruments constantly drown him out, some of the songs have parts missing because certain instruments cut out in the middle then come back on...lol - and truly, by the end of the show - Gackt's a mess.
Yes, a hottttt mess - but his ear pieces keep cutting out on him (probably more than at any other time I've seen on film) - and he's having to yell the songs. He's visibly exhausted and straining to get through, to the point at the last where he stops singing the words when the song goes to an uncomfortable octave (usually in the middle of a line). I felt so bad for him.
And I can only imagine the HELL he rained down after it was all over. To folks who more than deserved it.
Does anyone know the story behind this show? What it was filmed for and/or shown on? Thanks!
