I will admit to having only seen "Titanic" a couple times. I think it was one of those cases where the hype and media coverage was so extreme and EVERYWHERE, that I avoided it for a few years...lol. Then I saw it. And of course I made special effort to catch Craig Kelly in his small role as one of the wireless operators. He was only in about three scenes, but I enjoyed him on the big screen!

Then recently, I found out they released a new edition of "Titanic" - the extended White Star edition. With three discs - including both versions of the ending! But even better is that they have added back in footage they originally cut, so this edition is now almost four hours long.

Why is that important? Because Craig gets more screen time, of course! From my best guess, he's in two new scenes. One is him and his friend in the wireless office, and Craig's complaining about all the messages they'll have to send over the wire that night - he'll be up all night, damn the luck. And the other scene is towards the end, when the ship's going down - he rushes into the wireless office where his friend is still sending the SOS and Craig tells him they have to leave and make a break for it, but the other guy won't leave. So the last we see of Craig is him throwing a life preserver over the friend's head as he ties it around him, saying the man's mad.

I made screencaps of all his scenes - so under the cut you will find 23 pics to enjoy!

Oh, btw - I have also updated the Aidan Gillen / Craig Kelly Photo Archive with numerous photos of both men in various roles - if it's been awhile since you've visited, you may want to take a trip over!
