Yep, you read correctly!!!

Lisa W has updated the main fan site for "From Eroica With Love" to include an active fan fiction archive!!!

YEYEYEYE...lol.

Ohhh, and in addition to being able to archive your own stories - readers can "archive" direct links to stories that already have a home online.

Later, if the author wants the full fic in the archive, the link post will be deleted.

I archived my fic, "Dorian In The Dark" there just now....

Soooo - take a look, and have fun!

The fandom meme, tagged by [livejournal.com profile] nytelover -

1. Current fandoms: Good lord, are you prepared for the answer? lol... Current Reading Fandoms are: QAF (UK & US), The X-Files, The Sentinel, Anita Blake, Once A Thief, From Eroica With Love, La Femme Nikita, Highlander (I named my dog after Methos...lol), Buffy/Angel (Spike - THUD), Forever Knight, OZ, Star Trek: TNG and some Voyager, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Homes, RareSlash, MovieSlash (If I like the movie...), Due South, Ai No Kusabi and Velvet Goldmine. Fandoms I've written in - QAF (UK & US), From Eroica With Love and La Femme Nikita.

2. Shows I love but don't read fic in: Uhmm, pretty much if I love it, I'll read it. Alot...lol.

3. First fandom ever: Reading? The X-Files, without doubt. It hooked me good, and I'm still a Mulder/Skinner hound. Plus, reading X-Files fics was indirectly responsible for me writing my first fic - ironically in another fandom. Thanks to Xanthe's encouragement. First Fandom Fic? Queer As Folk, UK.

4. My most recent fandoms: It's a kind of toe-dipping technique, really. Ha... If I see something that intrigues me, I'll give it a go. Odds are, I'll stay with it for awhile, then go on to other things, then after time I'll revisit it and try to find all the goodies I missed in the mean time. There are a lot of fandoms in which very few folks continue to write after the first wave of newness wears off, or after the show finishes airing...lol. So I'll read the odd fic in old favorite fandoms / pairings when I find them. But there are fandoms that I have and will continue reading allllll the damn time...lol. See No. 5 for details...

5. Five fandoms that mean a lot to you: The UK QAF fandom, because I was there long before alot of folks...lol, and it was fucking brilliant all the way around. It's also helped bring me love and friendship, and a chance to see the world a little more than I ever thought I would. The US QAF fandom because I'm so deeply involved in all aspects - writing, betaing, recapping, archiving and moderating. I'm there for the long haul, even in times of doubt. The X-Files, because it was the first. And because of the massive talents that leave me in awe every time I revisit old favorites. (Btw - how could I not choose this as a favorite fandom when my internet handle is "Fox" spelled backwards...lol.) And I also adore the Sentinel and Highlander fandoms - I am fasinated by the various dynamics of my chosen pairings in both, and the fantastical additions like hightened senses, and immortality.

Title: “Dorian In The Dark, Part Two”
Author: Xof
Fandom: Eroica
Pairing: Klaus/Dorian
Category: Drama / First Time
Rating: NC-17 (deliciously LEMON)
Feedback: xof@rose.net

Summary: A mission brings both the Major and Eroica into close quarters, leading to a physical confrontation that changes the Major’s course unalterably.

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters. They just forced me to use them for awhile. Non-profitable but highly satisfying. This is not for minors. Many thanks to Yasuka Aoike for their original creation!

No I haven't fallen off the planet...lol. I've just been finishing (at LONG last) my Eroica fic!!! Whoooooooo hooooooooooo...lol.

Background - you DO NOT have to know canon to enjoy this fic!!!! Seriously. All you need to know is this one paragraph from Lisa Williams' site:

http://www.eroicafans.org/index.html

"In case you've just wandered in here and aren't sure what it's all about, From Eroica With Love is a Japanese manga (series of comic books or graphic novels) by Yasuko Aoike, which has gained a following in the English-speaking world. It has a mostly European setting and concerns the adventures of a British aristocrat, Dorian Red, Earl of Gloria, who moonlights as an international art thief using the alias "Eroica", and his opposite number, a German NATO intelligence agent named Major Klaus Heinz von dem Eberbach. Dorian is flamboyant, swashbuckling, hedonistic, and cheerfully indifferent to most of society's conventions; he's also openly homosexual. Klaus is uptight, conservative, duty-driven, bad-tempered, and so repressed that he probably doesn't know himself what his sexual orientation is, but he does give some indications that he's not entirely immune to Dorian's attractions."

---

So if you've enjoyed my writing in the past - PRETTY PLEASE read this and give it a try!!! I'd love to know what you think.... Due to the length, it's posted in two parts.

Yes, that's right!!! I'm going on 20 pages on the fic of many many many a month...lol. But hey, that's fabulous - right??? lol...

I mean, every so very slowly - I'm getting it done.

And I'm perplexed as to why it's going slowly. I mean, I think it's a GOOD fic!!! Really, I'm proud of it so far...lol. It's reading well.

But real life seems to be kicking me down a bit lately - serious work issues (not mine, but some that do unfortunately affect me and what I have to help with doing) and family health issues (Mom's fine now, but here's a BIG hint - if you have High Blood Pressure - TAKE YOUR MEDS!!! Morbid nosebleeds fucking SUCK!) are luverly, aren't they? lol...

Oh well, I do write - a line, a paragraph, half a page...lol.

What's funny is that this fic has almost died twice before it even started!!! A laptop crash that caused me to lose the outline all together, thankfully I'd emailed it to someone before hand (months before, lol - but she still had it in consideration for a zine entry). Then once she'd emailed it back to me, I had a flukey email problem that wouldn't allow me to open any of the email in my inbox. So I lost it again. She emailed it back...lol. (((Thanks, B!!!)))

And since then, it's ever so slowly been progressing. I did miss the zine deadline, which was pushed up - but all things considered, that's good I guess. Pout...lol.

I'm just glad it's so close to the end. It's one of those fics that you want to read as a "reader" rather than as the "writer." You know the kind, one that you'd have liked to find in your inbox by someone else...lol, but since you didn't - you might as well write it yourself!!!

Wish me luck??? I hope many of you who don't read Eroica will cross over (since you like my other fics!!!) - and read this fic. Don't worry, I'll give you the details you need to understand to know who Dorian and Klaus are...lol. It's not a canon-complex-plot driven piece anyway. A newbie would be more than up-to-date after a few sentences of character description.

So I decided to withdraw from the S/V fic challenge. I'm just not in a good muse mood right now. Esp. since I'm dead determined to finish this Eroica fic that's been going on and on and onnnnnn... for months now. To pull away from it to write a little fic for yet another fandom is going to be detrimental to me finishing the one story I REALLLLLY want to finish. (((I've already done that three times lately - for two S/V pwp fics. And once for a Brian/Michael RR.)))

Course, I feel reallllly bad that I even tipped my hat into the ring of the challenge - only to withdraw. But Doyle's reassured me that it's not too late to get someone else to do the story I was assigned. I hope very much that the idea does come into being - it deserves to be done well.

And me? Well, when I can manage to write - I do. But I gotta tell you - Klaus has been hiding in Dorian's room for a couple days now - staring at all the goodies...lol, and has YET to pounce. Sighhhhh.... I want just one dang spurt of writing writing writing so I can get to - *gasp* - editing.

So...

I didn't actually update the outline... YET!!!

lol...

But I did have a good conversation with Nic about where I want the Eroica fic to go.

Sooooo, that means TODAY is my trying to actually write some more.

That is if I don't keep distracting myself with every sort of music, vids, sites, etc. that I can find. I tend to do that too much. Try to start creating, and drift over to things that are entertaining, but not overly helpful to my being productive.

Sighhh...lol.
